Alto Films is a UK-based independent feature film production company set up by Alex Wakeford & Toni Harman to make genre feature films for worldwide theatrical release.
CREDO is the company’s debut feature film after achieving considerable success with a string of short films – three of which are currently being distributed in over 40 countries worldwide.
Alto’s last short film, DADDY'S BOY won the Silver Méliès award for Best European Short Film in 2004 and has been screened at over 20 festivals worldwide including Toronto, Edinburgh, New York, LA, Rhode Island, Austin, European Short Film Festival, Oslo, Hamburg, Uppsala, Turin and Foyle.
Together, Alex and Toni have been noted as a successful writing partnership, with a screenplay highly commended in the Oscar Moore Screenwriting Awards and selection for the prestigious First Film Foundation’s First Development Programme, a year-long intensive screenwriting programme funded by the UK Film Council.
Alto Films is preparing to go into preproduction on psychological horror CAT'S CRADLE and production will begin in 2008.
